General Things:
It's the city known best for how rugged it is. This goes for the City itself, what surrounds it and the highly individualistic
people that come from there.
The city is known for it's Hunters, Survivalist, Smiths and Fighters, it is also the number one supplier of weapons and
fighters.
Export:
Metal, armour, weapons and fighters.
Metal: Is procured from the mountains that surround Gantz. Each one a practical treasure for ores and stones which are
used for the weapon making that the city is known for.
Armour: With the Ores, and Metals, Armour is also made. A very rare and expensive Crystal Armour is also made here,
there is one suit of Crystal Armour made every year by a specialized smith. The Art of Crystal Armor is an old one, and very
few people alive today actually know how to create it.
Weapons: The ones made here, are just as famous as the armour that's made. The greatest Smiths in Sahnlinn reside in
Gantz. People will pay a lot of money for a Winehouse Sword, or an Armour set from Rickson.
Fighters: To uphold it's name of being the best, Gantz is also the convergence spot of Trainers. It is well known that the
Personal Imperial Guard for Empress Emerelda, all come from Gantz.
Customs:
Gantz is very traditional. In that, they've kept up regulations and rules that have been in place since the beginning. For one
they're very strict and militant, and they still have a pretty ingrained class structure.
Class Structure: The Class Structure is from when Nobles were the ones that truly ran Gantz. Even today there are the
ones from a long line of important families, and due to the perks that they get from being in Gantz, the view, the freedom
and the knowledge that they helped forge this very important and well known city, is what keeps them there. Though some
of the Nobel families have moved to Winter Water to be close to the Empress since Winter Water IS the home of the Castle,
and her Royalty.
Demographic:
Most of the people from Gantz are Humans, they are tall and strongly built, and come from a long line of strong,
independent and hearty people. Among these humans white hair is most common, more so than any other kingdom, and
due to the harsh environment they have had a lack of Mystics.
Species Found There:
Bluidon's, Apolorin's and Vampire's are most common here. This is where the Highest populations of Apolorin's and
Bluidon's can be found outside of their native cities.
Wild Life:
They have the largest Species of Bear called the Avorta Mountain Bear, They have an Arctic Wild Cat, and Arctic Spiders.
These animals are native to the Gantz area, though rarely Arctic spiders get driven south and can make it down to the
reaches of Winter Water. Any farther than that, and they can't survive.
City Motto: The Iron Heart of the Empire
General:
They're the most southern and has the largest area. They're the number one producer of agriculture. They are the most
Industrial of the major cities. They have jungle and swamps to the south.
Export:
Field Grown foods, mostly grains, though Corn, and a variety of other fruits and vegetables come from there as well.
Customs:
Every fall there's a massive Harvest Festival to celebrate another prosperous year, and to bid good will to another good
year.
Mazes: Not quite a set in stone custom, the 'Horror Haunt Mazes' are becoming a yearly attraction that aids in bringing
people from all around. The mazes are constructed by Earth Mages, and have Magical port stones within them. So if
someone becomes terribly lost they can port back to the beginning.
Weather stones and Mages, allow different environments to occur within the maze. Thus making a simple 'hedge' maze into
a fun adventure that's great for all ages.
Arranged Marriages: Summerset is a fairly traditional place. The families are all close knit, and everybody knows
everybody else. Humans don't tend to move away or into Summerset, liking the laid back and hard working nature of the
city. Because of this closeness, and traditional nature Humans have up kept arranging marriages for their children.
Maguri don't view this act as odd in any way. They themselves have this, though it is only truly common among the higher
ranking members of the Magnuri community.
Feliniks see the prospect of arranged marriages as something very weird and constraining. They do watch out for this
ritual, thinking that there must be more to it than what there is. A good chunk of the Felinik's that live in Summerset are
attempting to adopt this into their own lives. Much to the chagrin of their children.
Demographic:
Humans make up two thirds of the Summerset Population. The other third is nearly entirely dominated by an even amount
of Feliniks and Magnuri.
Species Found There:
Summerset has the Highest Population of Feleniks and Magnuri outside of their Native homes.
Wild Life:
They have the largest rodents which are called Yurik Rats. These rats are then fed upon by the largest land reptiles, the
Field Serpents.
City Motto: Where the Fields never end.
General:
It is the Vacation destination of Summerset and it is also the smallest of the major cities. They're located on the mainland,
there's also a grouping of islands that are different vacation spots. Verall is also home to the healthiest people in Sahnlinn.
Their major source of income is tourism.
The average building, including most of the personal homes are made to be more open, with length wise sliding glass doors
and wide spanning balconies and patios. Many enjoy the openness and with the almost perpetual warm and sunny days
with cool ocean breezes, a house of this structure is most welcome to the people and businesses.
Verallians are very different from Summersetians. They laugh at the thought of arranged marriages and some will actually
throw parties on the subject of 'Being Free to Choose'. Most of these are non invasive, and is usually solely done by the
younger generation.
Export:
Clothes/Fashion, Fish, Sea Fruit
Fashion: The clothes are usually of light silk like materials and are open and flowing. Sandals or barefoot is common, as
well as people of either gender being able to walk around shirtless.
Fish: Tropical Fish are a massive industry. They are distributed for food or to pet stores. Usually sea serpents aren't
caught for food of any kind due to their connection with the sea and how most people view them. Feliniks and Apolarins
have no issues with catching serpents. Feliniks due to the fact that they believe their god populated the sea to feed them,
and help them survive. The Apolarins reason is simple, if it wasn't meant to be eaten, it wouldn't be so tasty.
Sea Fruit: is grown in netted floating orchards. There's five types of Melons that come from these orchards, along with a
variety of Flower Fruit, Ocean Plums, and a vast variety of Sea Berries.
Customs:
Surfing is the normal past time of Verall and this is done by the young, as well as the old. Other sea sports and activities
include, Scuba Diving, Serpent Chase, Water Ball and Sea Squall.
Ocean Day Festival: This festival gives thanks to the gods for another good year of prosperity and to celebrate and give
good tidings to the upcoming year.
Demographic: Once again Humans are the major species here, then Magnuri and Felinik. You won't find Apolarin's
Bluidon's or Vampires here in any great number due to the heat, and the massive amount of sun they get.
Wild Life:
Aquatic Life: Island Turtles (rare) can be seen off of the coast easily when they come around. Water Serpents of various
size and species (very intelligent and playful). They also have Coral and Open Water Sharks. All of these are great
attractions for the Scuba diving crowd.
City Mottos:
Official: The City of Paradise were the fun never ends
Unofficial Motto (said primarily by the young): Sun and Surf This is Our Turf
Unofficial Motto (Primarily said by Men): Best Ass in the Empire
Unofficial Motto (Said by pretty much anybody who's been to Verall): Where the Nights are as Hot as the Day
Reputation: That Verrillian Girls are the best and a little 'loose'.
General:
It is the Capital City of the Empire and every Guilds Lead House is located there. It also now has the highest concentration
of Ruling Families.
Winter Water is known for having the prettiest architecture in Sahnlinn, as well as having the oldest buildings found within
the empire.
It has the largest film industry and most call it 'home' of entertainment.
It is also known for having the highest amount of Mages, Artisans and Scholars of any Imperial City.
Export:
Services, Knowledge and Education
Services: Is the wide term used for any people that are relocated to aid in any manner the Guild Houses can
accommodate to, as well as the dispatching of Guards to where they might be needed outside of Winter Waters boarders.
Guild Houses (Adventurers, Assassins, Magic, Merchants, Thieves, Fighters) : Are where one learns a specific trade and
are then 'employed' by the House. Allowing them to receive jobs from clients that work or need work from the House. Some
people will gain such a reputation that people will ask for them specifically when giving the House a job.
Knowledge and Education: These come in the form of Scholars that interact with the various species, or do Ruin
searches. They then have their texts are either sent out to schools across the Empire, allowing teachers to teach their
children, or the Scholar them self can be called out to teach teachers during the Empire's off months.
Customs: Not as rigid as Gantz, Winter Water, but due to it being the 'Birthplace of the Empire' they have the most
'Proper' customs. Winter Water is fairly quiet, even though it is of a large size, and there are many guards there. Imperial
Guards occasionally do City Patrols, as if a reminder to people that they are very much there. Also when they do this they
are acting in a way as an extension of the Empress herself. As a general though women are more so expected to act like
ladies, in the way that dresses are quite common and walking hand on arm is very normal here. Even with it's newness and
youth's of today Winter Water still has a feeling of the old times, and due to efforts to keep buildings, even new ones to the
look of the old era, the merging of New with the Old has gone smoothly.
Demographic: This is the only Major City in Sahnlinn that has an almost equal population of the various species. It's
weather, temperature, and local are ideal for anyone to be able to live there.
Wild Life:
Winter Water is known for the Hipipinin Deer which is found in the Hipipinin woods just outside of the city to the North, and
for it's variety of Sea Serpents. One of which has been nicked name 'Murry'.
Murry: Is a very large Sea Serpent. He is very recognizable due to a long visible injury he has on the side of his head and
a large bite wound scar just below his dorsal fin. Murry gained world attention when he first reared up from the ocean to
show his massive size. Moving over to the Castle and resting the tip of his head on the main Ocean Viewing balcony that's
near the top of the Castle. Some speculate the Murry is the same Serpent that boaters complained about decades ago for
getting caught in their nets. Murry's size and his still rounded head scales seems to support this theory that he was nothing
more than an Offspring about seventy years ago. It's also believed that he may have wandered out too far beyond were
even the Serpents are said not to go and encountered a strange aquatic animal and got injured. This is also only
speculation. Though he comes to the castle everyday and does his 'posing' for the people, allowing clear viewing of the
ones who now go and wait to see him with their own eyes. It is clear that the injures he has are not from other Serpents,
and it makes people wonder just how far out he did go. Since even they haven't been out to explore the whole ocean, and if
Murry is any indication, whatever is out there, can get quite large.
Murry is estimated to be about four hundred feet long and that is about full size for a King Serpent male.
